Story continues from Captain America #437. After Giant-Man found Cap's lifeless body in the Arizona desert, he rushed the star-spangled avenger to Stark Enterprises for emergency treatment! The fabled super-soldier serum has degraded to the point where Steve Rogers is near death! So to save the shield-slinger's life; Hank, Tony, and Dr. Erica Sondheim devise a risky surgical plan! Giant-Man will shrink the golden avenger to bacterial size via Pym Particles; and then Dr. Sondheim will inject the miniature Shell-Head into Cap's bloodstream! Wow, does Iron Man's "Fantastic Voyage" have a chance of working? It's all or nothing for the red, white, and blue!
