Talking magpies Heckle and Jeckle are known for their identical appearance, their distinctive chatter, and their mischievous schemes. After their latest malfeasance, Heckle and Jeckle are set adrift in the open ocean and left to fend for themselves. Heckle and Jeckle trick cabbie Dimwit into driving them all the way from Chicago for free, and then hitch a ride on a fire engine. Heckle and Jeckle help Dimwit test his new "safety hat," but this time the resulting mayhem is not their fault.
