Following the events of Avengers (3rd series) #27, Simon Williams decides it's time to return to California and make amends for his actions (in the final issues of the Wonder Man (1991) series). For moral support the Scarlet Witch asks Hank McCoy to accompany Simon on his trip! So Wonder Man and the Beast are together again! And it doesn't take long for the mayhem to start once Slorene exiles hijack their Los Angeles-bound airplane! However the pair of avengers quickly quells the threat! And their Golden State adventure begins! Retelling of Wonder Man's origin and the Beast's origin.
