Earth's Mightiest Heroes (and Rick Jones) are adrift in the Sphinx time machine after Immortus' stunning victory last issue. The self-styled guardian of the timestream destroyed Chronopolis, vanquished Kang, and magnificently created the Forever Crystal. And at this moment the time-lost Avengers are downcast about their plight. However Hank Pym -- both of his identities on this mission -- notices three "temporal imbalances" on the timestream! And those three chronal anomalies could be clues to Immortus' next steps! The Wasp divides the Avengers into three teams! And they quickly depart to 1873 Arizona, 1959 California, and 21st century New York, respectively! What trials and tribulations await them?
